Material Control Specialist

Job Overview:- As a Material Control Specialist, you will be responsible for optimizing supplies and stock and ordering an accurate quantity of materials- You will also maintain and analyze supplier ratings while acting as a point of contact as needed.Input customer orders and forecast and ensure appropriate Finished Good inventory levels are met- Place material order and forecasts to the supplier to maintain appropriate levels of materials for production to avoid stock outResponsibilities and Duties:• Control supplies and stock by timely planning the correct quantity of materials, while at the same time optimizing the stock on hand.• Perform basic data processing and parameter administration in the Material Planning system.• Support on-going series production, parts run-in and run-out, and processing of technical changes within this scope is the minimization of obsolescence costs.• Maintain and analyze monthly Supplier rating and yearly SUMIS (Supplier Management Information System) rating information as applicable.• Movement of non-conforming material from receiving, production line and communicating with Purchasing, Quality Control (QC) and supervision on disposition of material.• Maintain finite metrics on materials discrepant to requirements.• Support deliveries of capital spares and warranty needed material.• Monitor consumable and consignment material.• Maintain logistics deliverables - i.e. routing/footprint/movement.• Transports materials or inspects building, equipment and other items.• Submitting monthly reports for inventory stock. • Do inventory check each month, quarter semiannual.• Any and all other responsibilities, in addition to those mentioned above, as assigned by supervisor/manager.
